Jessie Bowman was the mother of David Bowman.
She was mentioned (but not seen) in 2001, when Frank Poole's father says that he, his wife, and Dave's parents were interviewed by reporters.
By 2010, Jessie was infirm and hospitalized. She had suffered a massive stroke, and her son Dave appeared to her in spectral form, brushing her hair and helping her peacefully pass away.
