Max Brailovsky

Maxim “Max” Brailovsky is a Soviet cosmonaut of The Leonov in the 2010 odyssey.

The Year We Make Contact

Max (Elya Baskin) is a member of the joint Soviet/USA mission to Jupiter in 2010. He helps to reactivate Discovery. Max is killed when he gets too close to the TMA-2 in orbit of Jupiter.

Odyssey Two

In the novel, Max survives to marry crewmate Zenia Marchenko.^[1]
