Uri[1] (or Yuri[rn 1]) Svetlanov is a Russian Cosmonaut aboard The Leonov, who serves as Co-pilot[1] in the 1984 film 2010: The Year We Make Contact.[note 1] He is played by Vladimir Skomarovsky.

Uri acts as Co-pilot for the Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov during the joint Soviet/USA Jupiter Mission.[1] Its mission is to investigate Discovery and the Jovian Monolith by 2010.[2]
